Mounting the 3box
This instruction helps you mount the 3Box on your GinkGo bike
Put the bike upside down in a repair stand. Remove the kickstand using a Torx T30 preferably with T-handle. Unscrew the front and rear screws alternately first on one side then on the other.
Remove the standard knobs from the kickstand using a Torx T30 and install the extended ones using a 10 mm wrench.
Install the bottom plate
Install spacers in all 6 holes
Use screw locking agent on all screws.
Install the two rear screws with washers to cover the holes in the cargo deck.
Put screws in the oval holes of the kickstand. Use screw locking agent on the threads. Tighten the screws to 8 Nm
Make sure the kickstand is directed with the right side backwards so that it folds in the right direction. Tighten the bolts of the kickstand. Start on one side and tighten alternately some turns on each screw. Start with the kickstand in an angle according to the picture. Tighten the screws on the other side in the same manner.
Use an adjustable spanner to direct the hinge plates correctly and tighten the screws to 8 Nm
Turn the bike and place it on the kickstand. Install the diagonal plate using screws with distances and washers. Wait with tightening the screws until the walls are mounted.
Install the rear wall.
Install the side walls. Push the plates together and use a rubber mallet to gently tap the tabs in place in the holes. The fit is tight and some force might be needed to get the pieces in place.
Install the zip-ties
Start in the lower hole and thread the zip tie from inside and out.
Thread it trough the upper hole and down trough the hole in the cargo deck.
Lock the zip tie below the cargo deck and tighten it. Cut of the excess end. Do the same with all the 10 positions between the plates of the 3box.
Tighten the screws that holds the front plate and make sure that all other screws also are tightened.
You are now ready to ride!
